I am surprised at myself, having distanced myself from Simply Red's music as my Mum is a fan and I don't like most of it, I actually like the new song 'Sunrise' very very much. Sometimes you find a song that you really like and have to keep listening to it. That hasn't happened for a long time.
I had a great weekend. Went to Wetherspoons on Friday with Gemma and some of her friends, then went to Martines for a bit which was more or less empty aside from the 16 year olds, and to think that I got ID'd when I was going in (I think? I can't actually remember!). Then I travelled to Oxford on the coach on Saturday morning and arrived at 1pm. Hayley and Gemma met me and we went to get a bite to eat and then we went back to Gem's house which was actually quite nice. I was expecting it to be quite old looking inside but it wasn't. Saw Pitchshifter in the evening which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be *s* and then we got a bottle of wine and cooked pasta and it was very yummy. Wine affects me a lot, it makes me most drunk out of everything I think because after just a couple of glasses I can feel a little tipsy. It made me sleep well though, which was nice as I usually can't get to sleep very well in strange places. Sunday we went ice skating which was really fun. I love zipping around the rink with the wind whistling through my hair (cheesy huh!), and I am pleased to say that I upheld my record of not falling over once... woohoo! Hayley fell over just as the session was ending, hehe. We grabbed sandwiches for lunch then went back to Gems house on the bus, where they gave me cake and presents :D. Soon after that I had to get my coach home, and I arrived at Gatwich at about 6pm, then I had to go in a lift all on my own which was VERY scary, I HATE lifts. There were probably stairs but I couldn't find them. My Dad picked me up and then we went home where I found out that none of my family really cared that it was my birthday, which was upsetting. They didn't make any effort at all. Pah. So I went to have a sulk in the shower.

Argghhhhh so much work to do! I have like a zillion things to do at once-ucas, finishing current project by next week, starting final final project and statement of intent has to be in next week? Then we have this extra bit we have to do with CAD and we have to think of a theme or something for it - everyone's really pissed off about it because we were only told we had to do it last week, then I have to sort out my portfolio and prepare for interview which I'm getting very scared about!
It's my birthday on Sunday - I'm going to Oxford for the weekend to see Gemma, and Hayley will be there too. It's gonna be cool. I asked my parents to just give me money for my birthday because I'm trying to save up for a decent computer to take to uni. I found the Harry Potter computer game in Crawley for a bargainous 10 quid last Sunday, so I got that and it's very good :)
It was a weird day yesterday lol... I went to visit Jon in the fine art room just after lunch because I was getting bored of my room and there was this bloke called David in there. We were all talking about various stuff, and this David bloke said that graphics students had no soul, then somehow we got onto war and stuff. Half an hour later I went back to my room to get on with some work. Then after college I was waiting at the station for the train home with Jon and Gemma and Jon said to me "it was really cute when you left our room earlier" and I was like "why?" apparently this David bloke had said "I'm gonna marry her, she's really pretty" or something like that. lol. It made my day, it's nice to have a boost of confidence sometimes! Then we saw these pigeons on top of the next platform. One of them (I'll call it the grey one) seemed to be hustling the other one along (which was white and brown), then the white and brown one jumped off the platform and dropped down. I thought it was gonna sort of take flight any second and glide off, but it didn't, it just kept on falling and then we heard this *splat* as it hit the rail. Some of it's feathers were plastered on the rail. The pigeon sort of rolled off the rail and was just sitting there. It couldn't fly and looked stunned and I wanted to go and rescue it but I didn't because that would have been very dangerous for me hehe. After about 10 minutes a train came along and we thought the pigeon was gonna get knocked out by the underparts of the train, some of which are quite low, but they must have missed the bird's head but millimetres. Then our train came along and we had to leave. This morning we did go and look if the pigeon was still there but it was gone, but we did see a dead grey pigeon further up the track. I reckon it was pigeon murder, as that grey one hustling it along probably pushed it.

I had this weird dream last night, I dreamt I went to visit Brighton uni, only it wasn't Brighton uni - I went somewhere else and I ended up at Brighton uni. Anyway, when I got there these 2 girls showed me into this room, then loads more people showed up and they were all from my old school. I saw Hayley and she was wearing this feather boa type thing. There was going to be a meeting of some sort in the room, talking about the course or something and we were all told that we HAD to ask a question to the people who were doing the meeting. Somewhere before the meeting people turned up and everyone was milling around the room, Matt appeared briefly in the room and I was thinking "what the hell is he doing here?", and he just said "Oh no, blah blah (someone's name) isn't here" and went away again. So the meeting took place and everyone asked their questions. Something went wrong though and we were told to come back in the afternoon to ask our questions again, and they were gonna rig up a microphone so everyone in the uni could hear (lol). The time came round, and they were calling people in one by one. I was dreading asking my question so everyone could hear because it was probably a really stupid one, and I was thinking I could hide or run away so nobody could find me, but apparently the uni people could find anyone. Then I woke up and I was very relieved!
